Well, I haven't posted in forever..... might as well now. Making livejournal live up to what it is- a place for whining and complaints....

I lost my job.
The lovely lovely state of the economy has made publishers conscerned, and therefore it hurts the people developing them. 15 people were laid off, every DS character artist. 
I figure, my options now are freelance and military simulation. I updated my website and I've been passing around my portfolio.

Ah well, I guess this just goes out to Matt, Rissy and Brian, Laina, and whoever else that plays WoW nearby, but I was wondering what you guys thought about having like a WoW party this weekend. I'm not sure where we'd go (my place is fine but small and parke has his parents so...)

Livejournal. It's the best place to rant about life when you just don't know who to talk to about it.
Gah, sometimes I just get sick of life. I sit around staring at the wall trying to figure out what the hell I'm doing and I just draw a blank. Defaulting to fishing in WoW or some other stupid shit that isn't accomplishing anything. It's such a simple mind numbing game sometimes, it compliments everything else that's going on right now. Simple and mind numbing.

I guess I need motivation here. I miss drawing. I miss seeing friends (damn you all for living so far away). Everything is becoming so repetative. Even with the little breaks, like seeing NIN in concert again, or whatever, I'm just having a hard time feeling satisfied with living.

Does anyone have any suggestions for me? I mean, sure, you figure look, this girl has a plan, she knows she wants to get off her ass and be a real artist again, but when I pick up that paper and pencil nothing comes out but scribbles. Paintings are a mess. There's some kind of barrier I just can't find a way over.

Ah whatever, this is probably all in vain. I know once wotlk is installed on my comptuer It'll be a lost cause.

On another note: gratz on your accomplishment Obama. I tried to help and Florida went democratic so who knows, maybe I did. First time voter, woot. Also, it was cool to see you in line Erich.

BRING YOUR WATER WEAPONS

We're celebrating my birthday here guys :(

Hey guys- my birthday's coming up- and in response I'm planning a water gun fight.
The deal is it would be either after work (after 7pm) on friday, or both that day and sometime saturday. I just want to see who could make what. This is all pertaining to the August 1st - 2nd days, not this weekend ;)

Come prepared- bring your own watergun of course.
I'm open to suggestions on location. I figure we could probably do it in some park.

In about a week I should find out if I get the second interview. That interview is a test of character- you go out to eat to see if you get along with everyone else. I have no doubt on whether or not I can get along with these people. I've got my hopes up, fingers crossed, wishing dolls out, whatever. I guess we'll see if I'm good enough for n-space.
Until then, all I can do is wait, and hope.

GTA4 has
THE INTERNET

So GTA IV came out yesterday. I put it in my Xbox 360 and 5 minutes later it overheats. I got to see the first 10 minutes of the game after three tries. Today I tried running it and I could feel it gradually starting to overheat again. When I took the disk out and put in Devil May Cry 4 it stayed at a steady pace, no overheating. I don’t know if it’s a hardware or software problem. Has anyone heard of a dvd overheating an Xbox system after 5 minutes? Looks like I’m calling Xbox when I get home tonight.

I figured I'd make a post, since I haven't done so yet this year. For all those who wonder- yes, I'm alive. I've been working full-time and :gasp: raiding in WoW. As happy as I am about those shining purps in my inventory- I'm sure no one here really cares to know.

Things at the new job are great, they love me, but I'm really lost in the world of military sim stuff. I don't know... it's hard to explain and it'd take longer than I'd want.

I can't stop thinking about Devil May Cry 4.
Swords and guns and fists and Dante. Did I mention Dante? And hey- his younger clone dude.
Oh man oh man...

Edit: Also- I miss hanging out with everyone. We'll have to plan something sometime :\ Damn avalon park - winter park travel time.
